Access the i>clicker preferences by choosing Your Settings and Preferences from the i>clicker Main Menu.
Choose Set for Course to set the preferences for the duration of your course. Choose Set For This Session to set the preferences for your active session only.
Course Name: Use the Course Name option to change the name of your course. The course name that you enter will appear in the course list on the Welcome Screen.
Instructor's Remote ID: You can designate one of the i>clicker remotes as the instructor remote. You can use the instructor remote to control polling as well as your presentation without having to stand near your computer.
To convert any i>clicker remote into an instructor remote type the eight character code printed on the back of the remote into the Instructor's Remote ID field.
Use the toolbar setting to change the toolbar size and move the toolbar back to its start (or default) position. If you reset the toolbar position the change will take affect the next time you launch i>clicker.
Note: You can minimize the toolbar when you are not polling.
Change the frequency code by selecting a radio button for each subfrequency code. For example, choosing B for subfrequency code 1 and C for subfrequency code 2 creates the two-letter frequency code BC.
Frequency codes should typically be changed for the entire course.
Students must set their i>clicker remotes to match the frequency code that you select. You can set i>clicker to show an alert message reminding students to change the frequency on their remotes.
Note: If i>clicker is part of an institutional adoption, check with your campus administrator to see if a frequency code has been assigned to your classroom.
